About Us
Direct Impact Foundation for Youth (DIFY) is an innovative Youth-led, locally registered not-for-profit organization established in 2019 and registered in 2020 with the Malawi Government under the Trustees Incorporation Act, Cap 5.03 of the laws of Malawi. DIFY is also a dully registered NGO with the Council for NGOs in Malawi (CONGOMA), and the Non-Governmental Organizations Regulatory Authority (NGORA) formerly The NGO Board.
Who We Are
Background
DIFY has a strong experience and expertise in designing and delivering health, education, advocacy, and partnership programs that aim to promote health and wellbeing, equality, and socio-economic development for the underprivileged and marginalized groups (key and priority populations) in local communities, with a particular focus on adolescent girls and young women (AGYW), and DIFY also integrates in its activities, efforts to minimize the impact of climate change by involving the youths in environmental management programs and climate change education.
Since 2019, DIFY has worked together with the Malawi Ministry of Health (MoH) to plan, design, and implement a mass and social media campaign on the promotion of acceptance and uptake of COVID-19 vaccines and on innovative HIV prevention, testing, and treatment programs tailored for AGYW. DIFY is an active partner on the national AGYW Technical Working Group. On environment and climate change, DIFY has facilitated the involvement of the youths through nurseries establishment, tree planting and formation and revamping of climate Change Clubs.
